About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employment Advisor to join our team at Pennine Care NHS FT. As a key member of our Greater Manchester Talking Therapies service, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with common mental health problems to gain, return to, or stay in employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support a team of Employment Advisors to provide employment support to individuals with mental health problems.
  • Work closely with Jobcentre Plus, employers, trade unions, and employment agencies to promote the service and support individuals in employment.
  • Develop and implement training programs for clinical and non-clinical staff to enhance their understanding of employment support and mental health.
  • Collaborate with primary care and secondary care mental health services, social care departments, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless service delivery.
  • Collect and report data to support service performance and evaluation, and contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators.
Person Specification
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in employment advice and mental health.
  • Training in coaching, careers advice, and job retention.
  • Qualification or substantial experience in providing professional supervision, preferably within a health setting.
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting individuals to gain or retain employment.
  • Experience of managing or supervising staff at a senior level.
  • Experience of working in a service with agreed targets and key performance indicators.
