We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Healthcare Ireland Group. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, providing high-quality meals and dining experiences for our residents.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Chef to ensure that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for, and that meals and other catering supplies are delivered to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities will include assisting with the basic preparation of food items, ensuring all cleaning within the kitchen, catering, and servery areas is completed and complies with our Assured Safe Catering standards, and maintaining a clean and tidy environment throughout the home.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a care home or healthcare environment, a good standard of both verbal and written English, and previous catering, kitchen, or food preparation experience. A good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is also essential.
