About the Role

Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking an experienced professional to lead our Housing Solutions Service. As the Director of Housing Solutions, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of high-quality, resident-focused services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership to meet the statutory requirements of the Homelessness Reduction Act and other housing legislation.
  • Lead the teams delivering the Housing Solutions Service, promoting understanding of and adherence to the Council's values and behaviours.
  • Obtain and maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct, in line with the expectations of a local government office, and lead staff to adhere to such standards.
  • Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary teams that deliver homelessness advice, prevention, relief, and temporary accommodation.
  • Responsible for the transformation of front-line housing services to meet the new housing duties outlined in the Homelessness Reduction Act and other Housing legislation and statutory instruments.
  • Provide direction and management to Homelessness Teams, planning, developing, and delivering our statutory duties in line with Council Policy and priorities.
  • Lead on responses to all issues relating to front-line housing assessments, housing plans, technical/legal housing issues, integration, and digitalisation of personalised front-line assessments.
