Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise (PDSE) is an award-winning organization dedicated to providing high-quality NHS dental treatment and outreach services to communities in Devon and Cornwall. We are a values-driven social enterprise committed to patient-centered care and addressing local oral health needs. We work closely with the University of Plymouth's Peninsula Dental School, supporting the clinical education of dental healthcare students.
About the Role
We are seeking dedicated Dental Nurses to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative environment as we expand our services, including the development of a new Dental Education Practice (DEP) in Plymouth City Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Effectively engage with all processes required to support the provision of clinical care, contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Communicate effectively with clinicians, students, and patients, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
- Ensure adherence to policies, protocols, and processes, upholding high standards of patient care and safety.
- Contribute to the success of our undergraduate student clinics by providing support and guidance.
Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Dental Nurse with the General Dental Council.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and R4 (training provided).
- Experience working in a dental environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
