Job Summary:
Catfoss Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading technology innovation company that serves the food manufacturing industry. We are seeking two Industrial Mechanical/Electrical Fitters to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.
Role Profile:
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Engineering and be part of a small engineering team. The role involves building new systems at the company's system development unit and supporting the installation and commissioning at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of industrial systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Work on-site to install and commission equipment, pipes, valves, tanks, and mechanical structures.
- Interpret engineering drawings and instructions to build new systems.
- Use workshop equipment to assemble and test systems.
- Hold a mechanical or process engineering qualification.
- Work on customer sites, prepare RAMS, and other site-specific requirements.
- Hold a valid First Aid certificate.
- Provide excellent customer interface as a company representative.
Requirements:
- Effective hands-on skilled fitter with good practical skill levels and experience of pipe fitting in an industrial environment.
- Positive mentality, drive, and endurance to achieve results.
- Proactive and innovative, with the ability to overcome engineering issues on-site.
- Good communicator and relationship builder with colleagues and customers.
- Working at heights will be required at times, via scissor lift.
Personal Attributes:
- Technically trained, practical engineer able to read engineering drawings and follow engineering instruction.
- Good team player, able to collaborate with colleagues, customers, and sub-contractors.
- Organised, able to manage time and prioritise tasks.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Flexible about working hours, installations can be over weekends or in unsocial hours.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Apprentice/Indentured trained.
- Skilled engineering knowledge.
- Service Engineering experience.
- Forklift certified.
- Able to interpret CAD/read drawings.
- Additional Electrical/Electronic Engineering qualifications or certifications.
- Working at Height certification.
What We Offer:
- £40,000-£45,000 per annum.
- Discretionary annual bonus of 5% of salary.
- Contributory salary sacrifice pension scheme up to 5% of salary.
- Death in service benefit of 4x base salary.
