Job Title: Senior Underwriter - Real Estate/Property Owners

At Allied World, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to join our Commercial Division. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for developing and executing underwriting strategies to grow our Real Estate/Property Owners book of business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to grow our Real Estate/Property Owners book of business
  • Perform extensive account analysis to identify risk management opportunities and develop pricing models
  • Collaborate with actuarial support to develop premium benchmarking and pricing models
  • Authorise quotes, binders, and invoices in accordance with company guidelines
  • Ensure receipt of and review of outstanding information to ensure consistency with the terms and conditions agreed at binding
  • Supervise the work of Underwriters and provide guidance and support as needed
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience underwriting commercial combined or property business
  • Excellent analytical skills and solid knowledge of pricing & actuarial models and methods
  • Highly articulate, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong marketing and business development capability
  • Highly computer literate within MS office applications and an advanced level proficiency using underwriting systems
