Job Title: Senior Highways Technology Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Highways Technology Engineer to join our Transportation team based in either Birmingham or Salford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and leading various technology scheme designs from conception through to the completion of Preliminary Design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the creation of technical documentation including drawings, BoQs, reports, business cases, and risk registers.
  • Manage others, either as a line manager or a project lead, tasking and providing guidance and feedback to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and high quality of output.
  • Lead engagement with clients and a variety of design disciplines to define requirements and drive completion of works.
  • Develop self and others through the creation, management, and utilisation of processes and procedures for work activities.
  • Provide regular project updates, in relation to progress, spend, and risk mitigation.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of delivery in ITS consultancy, design, and/or project management.
  • Knowledge of ITS, National Highways Technology Assets, Infrastructure, IoT, Telco, IP technologies, and their applications against the services Kier Transportation supplies.
  • Possess a relevant tertiary qualification in engineering/science-related subject.
