About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Exercise Clinic Lead Physiotherapist to join our team at GenesisCare UK. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in creating tailored assessment and exercise prescription for people with cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the provision of the Exercise Medicine Service for all patients referred.
  • Ensure all referred patients undergo a comprehensive initial assessment and set a personalised prescribed course of exercise medicine.
  • Manage and supervise the Personal Trainer.
  • Work in collaboration with the Centre Leader and all relevant centre-based staff to ensure a seamless patient pathway and coordination of a patient's cancer care.
  • Actively contribute to engagement events to promote awareness and understanding of the service.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience or equivalent clinical experience at a Band 6 level, predominately working with patients in Oncology.
  • Extra training will be provided by GenesisCare.
  • Experience and ability of working in a clinic setting.
  • Experience of teaching and supervising less experienced staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and use own initiative.
  • Experience of multidisciplinary and interagency working.
  • Evidence of active involvement in service development and contribution to change within the workplace.
  • Evidence of advanced clinical reasoning and the management of complex cases.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills to a range of audiences.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and that of others and effective time management.
  • Ability to demonstrate clear understanding of clinical governance, quality assurance and audit and its application to the work setting.
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to best practice and awareness of relevant national standards/guidelines.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
