Job Title: Security Officer

Blue Arrow Belfast is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our client, a reputable University based in Belfast BT9 area.

Job Summary:

This is a temporary ongoing role that offers 36.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a 9-week rota, including nights and weekends, on a rotational basis. The role involves enforcing all College regulations, patrolling the College grounds, and checking the security of buildings to prevent burglary, theft, vandalism, and fire.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Enforcing all College regulations relating to security, traffic, and car parking.
  2. Patrolling the College grounds and checking the security of buildings.
  3. Locking up and opening certain buildings at specified times.
  4. Performing rota gate duty and checking in visitors.
  5. Patrolling halls areas and dealing with any issues that may arise.
  6. Preparing accurate written reports.
  7. Record and maintain records of body camera recordings.
  8. Assisting in the evacuation of buildings in the event of an emergency.
  9. Administering first aid as required.
Requirements:
  1. At least one year's security experience of external foot patrolling and static guarding.
  2. A full current driving license (or willingness to undertake training).
  3. The ability to communicate clearly and prepare accurate written reports.
  4. Experience of traffic control and management.
  5. Willingness to undertake SIA (Security Industry Authority) level 2 Door Supervisor training.
  6. Willingness to undertake first aid training.
