As a Control Room Engineer at SSE Renewables, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our onshore wind, solar, and battery storage fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control the operation of our generating plant and associated high-voltage electrical infrastructure in real-time.
- Liaise with system operators, transmission operators, and distribution network operators to ensure safe and compliant operation.
- Ensure timely and effective disclosure of asset availability to maximize value from our energy portfolio.
- Experience in a control room environment and/or as an electrical field engineer, with responsibilities aligned with those detailed above.
- Experience of electro-mechanical generating plant and apparatus, ideally within the energy sector.
- Ability to adapt to changing workloads positively and be flexible, highly motivated, and passionate about the industry.
