Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and promoting student learning. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in planning and preparing lessons
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with varying needs
  • Helping with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Preparing learning materials and resources
  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they achieve their potential

Requirements:

  • A positive attitude and a passion for working with young people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • No prior experience required; training will be provided
  • A relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students stay on task with pre-set work. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a safe learning environment
  • Supporting students with their learning activities as needed
  • Communicating effectively with other staff members to ensure continuity of education

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills
  • Confidence in managing groups of students
  • Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential
  • A degree or relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
Qualified Teacher

As a Qualified Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of all students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
  • Participating in professional development and contributing to the school community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in teaching and managing a classroom
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
