About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Software Engineer at EMIS Group Plc, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and excellence of our software products. This position requires innovative thinking to develop and implement technical testing strategies that ensure our offerings meet the highest standards of quality. Your responsibilities will include writing automated test scripts, engaging in collaborative project activities, and adhering to project timelines for testing deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively within a project team environment
  • Engage in daily stand-up meetings and contribute to sprint planning
  • Execute testing tasks associated with user stories
  • Conduct both functional and non-functional assessments of software
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test suites and environments
  • Document test outcomes and report any defects identified
  • Participate in ongoing professional development initiatives

Essential Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years' experience in a technical testing capacity
Proficient programming skills in C# or a comparable language
A strong commitment to quality and meticulous attention to detail
Analytical mindset with a penchant for inquiry
Familiarity with software testing methodologies
Experience in automation testing and crafting test plans
Excellent communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISTQB Foundation in Testing certification
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio and the .NET Framework
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Prior experience in the Healthcare sector
