Job Description:

This role may suit an individual with expertise in:

  1. Data encryption - Symmetric key cryptography with large, high entropy keys
  2. High-speed Quantum Random Number Generators
  3. Key exchange and digital signatures - Quantum Resistant Algorithms (QRA)
  4. NIST SP evaluating implementations for 2023 and beyond
  5. Crypto-agile Key Management - Enabler for transition
  6. Flexible deployment of crypto algorithms - classical, QRA, and hybrid
  7. Key distribution - Quantum Key Distribution (QKD)
  8. Utilizing laws of physics to secure key distribution over an optical quantum channel
  9. Space-based relay of quantum keys critical to establishing global QKD networks.
Requirements:

We seek an individual with:

  1. 20+ years of deep expertise in quantum computing and quantum risk
  2. Executive-level experience in computer science
  3. Academic-level training in computer science
  4. Hands-on experience in computer science
  5. Proven experience in defending against cyber attacks across departmental networks, e.g., Department of Defense on first cyber command, and the joint task force for computer network defense
  6. Executive-level experience in implementing solutions in defense intelligence agencies
  7. Executive-level experience in harvest now and decrypt later attacks
Technical Management & Relationships:

Carry commercial deployment as a service to Gentrian Syndicate Members. E.g., a data interconnect link between two locations protected by QKD (Quantum Key Distribution).

Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

  1. Advise the board on comprehensive assessment of data storage across Gentrian
  2. Implement user identity and authorization management
  3. Identify critical digital assets/capabilities, understand vulnerability to quantum attack, and assess potential repercussions
  4. Conduct pilot programs integrating quantum capabilities into IT security infrastructure and applications
  5. Develop quantum-safe transition roadmap for priority military systems and assets
  6. Implement roadmap and deploy hybrid infrastructure integrating quantum-safe crypto-agile products
  7. Establish/fast-track processes for advanced/quantum-enabled technologies to achieve certifications necessary for procurement and deployment
  8. Increase quantum tech literacy by upskilling workforce, e.g., implement quantum-safe technology as an additional layer of security
  9. Amplify security protection on harvest now and decrypt later attacks
Qualifications:

Masters in computer science. PhD in quantum physics.
