Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the financial management of a significant development project.
Project Details: This initiative involves the renovation and transformation of several historic buildings into residential units, alongside the construction of new housing within the grounds of a former healthcare facility. The project is valued at approximately £30 million and is expected to span around 2.5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish initial project packages.
- Procure necessary equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Manage the financial components of the project.
- Oversee multiple work fronts across both refurbishment and new construction.
- Handle payments, applications, variations, and valuations.
- Prepare detailed reports and manage Cost Value Reports (CVRs).
- Report to a visiting Commercial Director.
Candidate Profile: Ideal candidates will have prior experience with a main contractor, preferably Tier 1 or a larger regional firm. Experience in both new build housing and refurbishment projects is advantageous. This role is suitable for either a Project-level Quantity Surveyor aiming to advance to a Senior position or an established Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to engage in a distinctive and challenging project.
