Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Leader Recruitment Group. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in our alternative education program.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Mentoring and Supporting Learners: Providing curriculum-based support in the classroom, on home tuition, outreach, and through outdoor activities, inspiring students to achieve their best.
  • Assisting with Learning Preparation: Contributing to the preparation of learning materials and delivery of objectives, with a strong focus on behavioural management.
  • Monitoring Progress: Regularly reporting on learners' progress and any barriers to learning.
  • Engaging with Parents/Caregivers: Maintaining regular communication with parents and caregivers to support each student's educational journey.

Requirements:

  • Passion for SEND: A committed and passionate approach to working with students who have SEND.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in a SEND environment or a similar unit/provision.
  • Qualifications: A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous.
