We're seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, delivering a full suite of Building Surveying duties. Based in our growing Oxford team, you'll work alongside project managers and quantity surveyors, offering varied and interesting work with high-profile public and private sector clients.

As a key member of our team, you'll be central to some of the UK's most significant projects, with a portfolio spanning retail, health, energy, commercial property, education, and public sectors. We value your insight and leadership, supporting your continued growth and career development.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across multiple projects in different sectors, providing refurbishment, improvement, and modernisation projects.
  • Undertake feasibility studies, produce specifications, obtain estimates, and administer contracts for refurbishment projects.
  • Apply standard forms of building contract, such as JCT and NEC.
  • Mentor and train Building Surveyors, providing Supervisor support to Junior Surveyors on the RICS APC programme.
  • Line manage Junior Building Surveying staff.
  • Carry out surveys, inspections, schedules, and provide professional services, managing regional schemes.
  • Develop new business opportunities, including preparation and submission of bids.
  • Sound technical surveying knowledge and significant building surveying experience.
  • Experience managing clients with a strong understanding of profitability, business development, and commercial awareness.
  • Experience in mentoring, training, and coaching team members.
  • Experience managing workloads and projects.
  • Sound knowledge drafting technical documents, including clients' requirements, asset reviews, feasibility studies, specifications, and drawings.
  • Specific Technical Skillsets to meet specialist Professional Building Surveying service requirements, such as Dilapidations, Party Wall, Fire Risk, and Access Assessments.
  • Prepared to travel as required.
  • Strong IT skills, Word, and Excel as a minimum, with the ability to produce, edit, and format documents.
  • Strong ability in the use of AutoCAD and NBS, with experience in Revit an advantage.
