As a key member of our Housing sector team, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Your responsibilities will encompass managing communication, ensuring smooth operations, and providing essential administrative support to facilitate the delivery of housing, health, and wellbeing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for individuals entering Mulberry Junction, fostering a welcoming and organized atmosphere.
  • Manage all communication channels, including telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions with service users, professionals, and members of the public seeking assistance.
  • Provide empathetic and non-judgmental support, recognizing and addressing the distress and anxiety often experienced by individuals facing homelessness.
  • Report repair issues to relevant personnel and maintain accurate records to ensure a safe and functional environment.
  • Manage the ordering and inventory of essential supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for daily operations.
  • Assist in planning and managing events and activities held at Mulberry Junction, promoting accessibility and visibility.
  • Coordinate appointments, activities, and bookings using online calendars and shared diaries.
  • Maintain a clean and safe physical environment for all individuals accessing or working within Mulberry Junction.

Skills and Experience:

  • Personal experience or understanding of the challenges faced by single homeless individuals or those at risk of homelessness.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
  • Proficiency in working proactively and respectfully to de-escalate conflict while maintaining boundaries.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate effectively with other teams or services.
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to interacting with a wide range of people on a daily basis.
  • Commitment to co-production and service user involvement in shaping service design and operations.
