PNL Production Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the output of junior team members, ensuring a thorough 4-eyes review of the data presented to Front Office, Risk, and Finance as necessary.
- Critically assessing and questioning the PNL generated by junior team members.
- Executing end-of-day predictions when applicable, and probing any discrepancies with traders' forecasts to comprehend the economic factors influencing the P/L (market fluctuations, new transactions, strategies, etc.).
- Generating the official PNL figures, examining any variances from the previous day's expectations and understanding the economic rationale behind the P/L (market shifts, new transactions, strategies, etc.).
- Conducting an in-depth review of the PNL Explain and rectifying any inaccuracies if no technical solution is available to correct the misallocation.
- Analyzing the risk-based market PNL and investigating differences against the PNL Explain until the discrepancies are fully understood and documented.
- Reconciling system valuations with our calculations for specific financial instruments such as Futures and Bonds.
- Evaluating the anticipated cash flows from complex financial products.
- Validating adjustments in the economic PNL and providing explanations as needed for management coverage.
- Offering mentorship to junior team members regarding complex instruments and general PNL construction.
- Delivering minor projects or clearly defined tasks within larger projects to enhance operational support for the business.
- Actively participating in meetings to represent the PNL Control function, contributing expertise to initiatives that could benefit the team through our established framework.
- Building relationships with the business to better grasp their requirements, facilitating necessary changes to enhance our service quality, thereby fostering and maintaining trust, respect, and professionalism with the Front Office.
