Salary: £53,928 (Fixed Term Contract - 24 Months)
Role Overview:
As a Category Management Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Creating and executing impactful category strategies in partnership with various functions and the broader business ecosystem.
- Establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with key suppliers within your category.
- Identifying, documenting, and addressing category and supplier risks effectively.
- Overseeing supplier approval and onboarding processes in collaboration with the Supplier Quality team and other relevant support areas.
- Collaborating efficiently with the extended project team, including engineering, program management, finance, business development, and supplier development.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating courtesy, diplomacy, and tact.
- Ability to discuss procurement-related information (Quality, Cost, Delivery) with a certain level of technical understanding, particularly regarding manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience in category management, including the development of category strategies and strategic sourcing.
Desirable:
- Demonstrated dedication and discipline to achieve key objectives successfully.
- Proficient leadership abilities to inspire and motivate teams towards success.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry.
