In this pivotal role, you will oversee the tax division of the Derby office, with guidance from the Senior Tax Lead. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, encompassing individuals, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Preparing and reviewing personal tax submissions, including self-assessment, partnership, and trust tax returns.
  • Delivering customized tax planning strategies for clients, focusing on income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
  • Preparing and reviewing Forms P11D while collaborating with our specialized Employment Tax team to provide advice on employment benefits.
  • Engaging with HMRC to address and resolve any tax-related inquiries or issues.
  • Staying informed about updates in tax legislation and effectively communicating these changes to clients.

Qualifications:

  • CTA qualified or a minimum of Level 4 AAT.
  • Experience in managing a small finance team.
  • Background in an accounting practice.
