Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to enhance our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and evaluate automation opportunities to improve safety, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies, define project scope, and provide budget and justification for automation projects.
  3. Manage project planning, implementation, and commissioning of automation systems, including robotic equipment and facilities.
  4. Design and develop automation solutions, including jigs, fixtures, and robot programming.
  5. Deliver lean-structured process documents, work instructions, and standard operation procedures.
  6. Support New Product Introduction with automation requirements and lead Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  7. Assist in developing and sustaining departmental Quality Management System processes.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Robotics / Engineering or 5 years relevant experience.
  2. Good understanding of robotic applications and automation systems.
  3. Robotic programming and maintenance capability.
  4. Demonstrated working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma in the manufacturing field.
  5. Excellent analytical skills combined with good negotiation and conflict management skills.
  6. Ability to read engineering drawings.
