About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Livewell Southwest. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals and families affected by mental health difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Conduct assessments and reviews to identify individual needs and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Provide evidence-based advice and consultancy to individuals, families, and professionals.
  • Organize and manage a defined caseload under the guidance of a registered practitioner.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of mental health presentations and medications.
  • Understanding of physical health problems that can impact mental health and monitoring of the same.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Awareness of the Code of Conduct for Health Care Support Workers/Adult Social Care Workers in England.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or qualification to diploma level or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a range of different mental health care settings.
  • Experience of working autonomously and using own initiative.
  • Working with young people with challenging behavior and complex health needs.
