Job Overview:

We are currently recruiting an experienced Field Service Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading injection moulding machine manufacturer to join their established team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install new injection moulding equipment at clients' sites, ensuring proper setup and configuration according to manufacturer's guidelines.
  2. Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients, troubleshooting issues with injection moulding machines, auxiliary equipment, and control systems.
  3. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and parts replacement, to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
  4. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on injection moulding machinery, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers for replacement parts and upgrades.
  5. Conduct training sessions for client personnel on the operation, maintenance, and safety procedures related to injection moulding equipment.
  6. Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports, parts inventory, and equipment history, using our internal systems.
  7. Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains in injection moulding operations, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.

Requirements:

  1. Have previous working knowledge of injection molding machines or plastic processing equipment.
  2. Experience of working with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Desirable Requirements:

  1. Have ONC (or equivalent) in engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial electrics, maintenance engineering or related discipline.
  2. Experience of working with PLC controlled machinery.
  3. Counter balance, Overhead Crane certificates.
  4. Previous customer service experience.
  5. Experience of working in a similar maintenance role.
  6. Autonomy and self-disciplined in managing own project to completion within timeframe.
