About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Support Analyst to join our expanding Technology Team at Apex Hotels. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems and application software
  • Participate in projects across the business, with opportunities for learning and development
  • Provide support to internal customers, liaising with the Technology Team, 3rd Party Helpdesk, and other Support Providers to resolve incidents and requests in a timely manner
  • Support the joiners and leavers process, creating and deprovisioning user accounts, setting up hardware for new starters, and recovering hardware from leavers
  • Maintain and assist with the development of end-user computing within the business, including maintaining the Windows endpoint estate
  • Assist in the configuration, deployment, and repair of end-user devices
  • Work with the Tech Team and system owners to ensure Apex standards and processes are adhered to
  • Keep documentation and inventory up to date
  • Assist with day-to-day security checks and procedures
  • Configure and maintain the internal Endpoint Management Solution
  • Assist with Backup configuration and monitoring

This is a hybrid role, with a minimum expectation of 4 days a week in our Edinburgh Head Office and on-call support of 1 week in 5. The role supports all of our business areas across the UK and may require travel to our individual UK sites.

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will have:

  • HND in IT-related subject or equivalent professional qualifications/experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced IT support environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of deploying and managing computer and mobile device hardware
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows infrastructure, knowledge of Hyper-V and Windows server technologies are highly desirable
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking principles (LAN, IPv4, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Managed Switches, VLANs)
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting the Microsoft 365 suite (MS Office, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Strong technical background with an ability to give instructions and advice to a non-technical audience
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of Telephony and SharePoint desirable
  • Experience supporting Technology in a Hospitality business is desirable but not essential
