Our client is a leading global branded Food Manufacturer with a portfolio of well-known brands across various categories.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of category strategies across Tesco, with a focus on driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Range Reviews and Category Performance Reviews to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Tesco buyers and category managers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement category strategies that meet business objectives
- Monitor and analyze market trends and consumer behavior to inform category decisions
- Provide sales and marketing recommendations to support category growth and development
Requirements:
- Proven experience in category management, preferably within a branded FMCG environment
- Strong understanding of the UK grocery market and Tesco's business operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
