Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

Baltic Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide emergency breakdown response to production machinery and equipment.
  2. Carry out regular planned maintenance, as per the schedule.
  3. Work closely with the UK Engineering Manager on projects, providing assistance with design, specifying, purchasing, and organizing installations.
  4. Offer ideas and suggestions for improving all aspects of engineering on site.
  5. Accurately record and document all maintenance activities.
  6. Support site management in maximizing machine utilization.
  7. Ensure all mechanical and electrical repairs, plus maintenance to all services, machinery, and equipment are actioned.
  8. Closely monitor production equipment performance, noting problem areas or recurring faults, and offering ideas for improvements.
  9. Ensure all items removed from stores are accounted for and relevant records are filled in.
  10. Maintain a safe system of work and risk assessments throughout day-to-day duties.
  11. Organize external service engineers and contractors, ensuring they adopt safe systems of work.
  12. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the Company's health and safety procedures and statutory requirements.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant engineering qualification, electrical preferred, and ideally time-served.
  2. Similar experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
  3. Experience working with motors, drives, PLCs, gearboxes, and transmissions.
The Package:
  1. £42,000 per annum.
  2. Working a continental 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating between days and nights.
