Maintenance Engineer

Baltic Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide emergency breakdown response to production machinery and equipment.
- Carry out regular planned maintenance, as per the schedule.
- Work closely with the UK Engineering Manager on projects, providing assistance with design, specifying, purchasing, and organizing installations.
- Offer ideas and suggestions for improving all aspects of engineering on site.
- Accurately record and document all maintenance activities.
- Support site management in maximizing machine utilization.
- Ensure all mechanical and electrical repairs, plus maintenance to all services, machinery, and equipment are actioned.
- Closely monitor production equipment performance, noting problem areas or recurring faults, and offering ideas for improvements.
- Ensure all items removed from stores are accounted for and relevant records are filled in.
- Maintain a safe system of work and risk assessments throughout day-to-day duties.
- Organize external service engineers and contractors, ensuring they adopt safe systems of work.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the Company's health and safety procedures and statutory requirements.
- Relevant engineering qualification, electrical preferred, and ideally time-served.
- Similar experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with motors, drives, PLCs, gearboxes, and transmissions.
- £42,000 per annum.
- Working a continental 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating between days and nights.
