Job Overview:

The Wise Group is seeking a skilled Mentor to join our team in a contract role, focusing on Advocacy. As a Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in prison and on probation with their financial wellbeing through relational mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with probation/prison staff to support individuals in accessing financial support, engaging with relevant services, managing debts, budgeting, and accessing benefits.
  • Deliver mentoring services to individuals in need, promoting financial wellbeing and stability.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
  • Collaborate with the Wise Group team to increase our impact in Justice work, ensuring individuals receive necessary support for rehabilitation and integration.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a mentoring role, preferably in a custodial setting.
  • Ability to work in a flexible environment, including home working.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced level 1 prison vetting clearance.
