Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child and Family Support Specialist to join our team at HCRG Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our Family Support Team, you will play a vital role in providing support to vulnerable children and families in Milton Keynes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with families to identify and address their needs, providing guidance and support to promote positive outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective support plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each family.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and educators, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting families.
  • Conduct regular home visits and assessments to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and education to families on topics such as parenting skills, child development, and family dynamics.
  • Work closely with our FAST and SAIT teams to provide direct work, interventions, and assessments to support families.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with vulnerable children and families in a social care or related setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and social care principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and other professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of families.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop effective solutions.
