Senior Planning Manager

Join our client, a leading integrated design and build solution provider in the water sector, as they strengthen their Programme Management team with a Senior Planning Manager based in the Severn Trent region.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to provide planning services for the Severn Trent Framework, ensuring achievable but challenging timescales. You will manage the planning services function across the business unit programme of work, understanding the multi-disciplined roles involved within an integrated programme.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide planning services for the Severn Trent Framework, ensuring achievable but challenging timescales.
  2. Manage the planning services function across the business unit programme of work.
  3. Understand the multi-disciplined roles involved within an integrated programme (design, construction, commissioning, etc.).
  4. Knowledge of planning systems (Primavera - Essential, Microsoft Project - preferable).
  5. Provide programme management oversight across individual and batched projects.
  6. Identify and produce integrated programmes of work, monitoring performance and tracking critical paths.
  7. Provide resource planning and levelling for the overall portfolio.
  8. Detailed knowledge of NEC contract and programme requirements.
  9. Lead and develop the Planning team.
  10. Collaborate with digital teams to develop 4D plans for effective delivery.
  11. Appreciate planning input into Key Performance Indicators.
Requirements
  1. Experience in the Water/Wastewater Industry (preferred).
  2. Civil Engineering, M&E or Process Industry experience.
  3. Sound understanding of planning skills across a portfolio of projects.
  4. Leadership and line management skills.
  5. Commercial awareness.
