Job Details

Fife Council's Residential and Day Services (East) are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join their care home team as a Relief Social Care Worker (night shift) on a casual basis.

The successful candidate will provide care and support to vulnerable older people in a highly complex yet rewarding environment. They will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and reviewing care plans, ensuring service users receive the opportunities, experiences, and care and support outlined in their plans.

The ideal candidate will have experience of care within a residential setting and be able to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic team. They will also be able to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support.

The Person

  • Must have or be able to work towards SVQ 3 as required by the Scottish Social Services Council.
  • Must be able to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service.
  • Must be able to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.
  • Must be able to provide care and support which meets the Health and Social Care standards.

Requirements

  • SVQ 3 or above in Social Care
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council
  • PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland
