About the Role

The South Manchester Early Intervention in Psychosis Service and the North Mersey Community Mental Health Team are seeking a Specialty Doctor to join their team. As a Specialty Doctor, you will be responsible for providing expert assessments and treatment for individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work with a caseload of approximately 560 patients, aged 14-65, and provide expert assessments and treatment. The team is led by a team leader and includes psychology input, clinical pharmacist input, and CAMHS consultant psychiatrist input. Care coordinators come from various backgrounds, including nursing, social work, and occupational therapy.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Medical Degree, GMC Registration, and at least 4 years of postgraduate experience, including 2 years in Psychiatry. S12 experience is desirable.
