Playing a vital role in supplying energy to millions across the UK and North-Eastern US, Adecco is committed to investing in the future of sustainable practices.


Your responsibilities will include evaluating the potential effects of new projects on the acoustic landscape, providing recommendations to mitigate impacts on sensitive areas, and managing the risk of noise-related compliance issues.


It is essential to demonstrate experience in acoustics or Electric and Magnetic Fields (EMF), Radio Frequency Interference (RFI), and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) concerning the design and operation of transmission facilities.

Conduct site evaluations and utilize desktop modeling tools to integrate this data with your expertise in noise associated with high voltage energy assets, forming the foundation of your recommendations.

Showcase your experience in leading the acoustic components of Planning Applications and, ideally, Development Consent Order submissions.

Provide both internal and external technical advice regarding the potential impacts of electricity transmission projects on the environment and the technical challenges associated with operating near third-party entities.

Contribute to and influence innovative projects aimed at enhancing industry knowledge of EMF/EMC/RFI or acoustics, safeguarding operations, and achieving operational efficiency.

Address complex technical inquiries from internal and external stakeholders under tight deadlines, often for inclusion in external documents such as Environmental Impact Assessments.

Lead all discipline-specific elements of a Planning Application.
Possess a strong understanding of Asset Management frameworks, including investment protocols.
Exhibit excellent technical report writing capabilities.
Have a comprehensive understanding of statutory obligations concerning environmental impacts.
Demonstrate experience in both technical and reputable risk management.
