About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Professional to join our team at Wentwood Court in Newport. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients with complex mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities, and neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement person-centred care plans to achieve and exceed client potential
- Promote the right values and attitudes towards people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs, and behaviours described as challenging
- Facilitate social, educational, or work activities tailored to individual needs and preferences
- Liaise with families, friends, advocates, external agencies, and the management team to ensure a consistent approach
- Complete accurate records and documentation of progress, incidents, and activities
- Promote and uphold the privacy, rights, dignity, health, and wellbeing of clients
- Contribute to general housekeeping duties, including shopping, domestic tasks, and elements of personal care
