About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Nursing Support Worker to join our team at Children's Hospices Across Scotland. As a key member of our palliative care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Palliative Care Provision: Assist in the implementation of care programs to ensure a high standard of palliative nursing care is provided to children and young people.
  • End of Life Support: Provide emotional and practical support to children, young people, and their families during end-of-life and bereavement periods.
  • Key Worker Support: Work as part of a Key Worker team to provide emotional and practical support to children, young people, and their families, ensuring contact is maintained between visits and that the wishes of the family are delivered.
  • Mentorship: Act as a mentor to Nursing Support Workers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and confidence.
  • Team Leadership: Act as a role model and promote effective teamwork across the service to meet the needs of children, young people, and their families.
