We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Building Surveyor to join our Exeter office, working in a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver a full suite of Building Surveying services. Our team is dedicated to providing excellent service to our clients, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and provide a range of building surveying and project management duties across various projects and sectors.
- Assist in the development of new and repeat business across all sectors.
- Manage client relationships and service delivery on a project-by-project basis.
- Apply standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
- Stay up-to-date with industry issues and best practices.
- Manage teams and deliver commissions under framework agreements.
- Experience in sectors including education, local authorities, healthcare, central government, and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct defect analysis, building surveys, and produce professional reports and specifications.
- Understand quality, safety, and environmental principles in project management.
- Deliver pre- and post-contract project management services.
- Assist with project management and contract administration duties for larger projects.
- Conduct condition and measured surveys.
- Design and implement small to medium-sized projects.
- Perform due diligence surveys.
- BSc (Hon's) Building Surveying or equivalent RICS-accredited degree.
- Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Proven all-round surveying experience.
- Experience in pre- and post-contract project management responsibilities.
- Excellent team working skills and communication abilities.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Liaise with senior colleagues to build a profitable service and positive team environment.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is an advantage.
- Awareness of BIM systems.
- Mentor APC graduates.
- Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
