Academic Mentor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Academic Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As an Academic Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a variety of settings, including schools, care homes, and libraries.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide academic support to students with SEND, including those with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, Asperger's, MLD, and challenging behaviors.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each student.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system for students.
- Complete weekly feedback forms on student progress, achievements, behavior, and self-esteem/confidence.
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous experience working in a UK school, although not essential.
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training, issued in the last year, desirable but not essential.
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
- Two professional child-related references.
