Job Title: Graduate Mechanical/Design Engineer

Glacier Energy is a leading provider of specialist services, products and engineered solutions across four complementary areas of expertise. We specialise in heat transfer and pressure vessel solutions, inspection services, onsite machining and welding solutions operating across the renewables, industrial and oil and gas markets.

With a strong heritage and extensive experience in the design, manufacture, repair and refurbishment of heat exchangers and pressure vessels, we are at the forefront of innovation and have been working with universities and clients to produce solutions that support carbon capture usage and storage, hydrogen, energy storage and circular economy projects.

We are seeking a Graduate Mechanical/Design Engineer to join our Rotherham site, where you will be responsible for producing mechanical designs, including beneficial alternatives, P&IDs, equipment sizing and subcontract equipment specifications in accordance with industry standard specifications such as ASME and PD5500.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce mechanical designs and specifications in accordance with industry standards
  • Provide technical support to sales engineers as required
  • Identify training and learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Degree in related Chemical or Mechanical engineering discipline
  • Degree modules in thermal and mechanical engineering
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative
  • Proactive and flexible with a 'can do' attitude
  • Strong team player with IT literacy and experience using Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
