Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Team Leader to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Daventry, UK. As a key member of our Power Systems Business, you will be responsible for optimizing production coordination, boosting team performance, and maintaining process adherence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize Production Coordination: Ensure the team meets production specifications, schedules, and targets for volume, cost, and quality.
  • Boost Team Performance: Monitor team output, assign tasks, and provide inputs to achieve work specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain Process Adherence: Ensure team members follow process documentation for operator training and defect investigation.
  • Reduce Wastage: Implement strategies to minimize waste and enhance cost efficiency.
  • Improve Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections, identify non-conforming materials, and address quality concerns.
  • Enhance Communication: Facilitate effective communication between shifts, departments, and support functions for seamless operations.
  • Foster Continuous Improvement: Lead and support initiatives focused on improving processes, safety, and team skills.
  • Develop Team Members: Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and personal development opportunities to build a capable and resilient team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • No formal qualifications but a good level of numeracy, literacy, and PC skills required.
