About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Project Manager to join our team at London North Eastern Railway (LNER). As a key member of our digital transformation team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex digital projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of digital projects, ensuring they align with our business strategy and goals.
  • Manage and lead a variety of stakeholders, including project teams, suppliers, and senior business leaders.
  • Develop and maintain complex project plans, managing multiple dependencies and suppliers.
  • Ensure effective risk and issue management, minimizing delays to project timescales.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring there are no over/under spends beyond agreed tolerances.
  • Handover projects to BAU, ensuring production stability is maintained.
  • Build and maintain motivated teams, developing iterative plans for them to work towards.
  • Support the Digital Programme Manager in planning, coordinating, and tracking project progress.
  • Report on and measure project success, including customer and business benefits, CSAT impacts, revenue, and cost.
  • Develop continuous improvement project schemes, including EFQM/Lean project management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Project Management role.
  • Ability to manage and lead a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Business-focused with an air of creativity.
  • Business development and negotiation experience.
  • Experience in budget management and controls.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills and a team player.
  • Strong people leadership track record.
  • Prince2 or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
  • EFQM/Lean Six Sigma (desirable but not essential).
  • Affinity with the LNER brand values.
