Job Details

Network Open is seeking an experienced Optical Assistant to join our team. As an Optical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Optometrist with sight tests, carrying out full dispenses at all levels, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visiting Nursing and Care Homes to assist with sight tests and dispenses
  • Carrying out full dispenses at all levels, including administrative duties
  • Providing excellent customer service and empathy to patients, many of whom will be elderly and have dementia
  • Working as part of a team to achieve excellent patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in optics
  • Good clinical knowledge and excellent dispensing skills
  • Empathy and a sympathetic approach
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
