Make a Difference to Autistic Children and Young Adults

Ambitious about Autism is a leading charity that champions the rights and creates opportunities for autistic children and young people. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of autistic children and young adults. As a Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for leading a clinical caseload and working with the transdisciplinary team to improve outcomes for children and young people through the application of expertise in speech and language therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a clinical caseload and work with the transdisciplinary team to improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Provide high-quality speech and language therapy advice and support across the three tiers of support (universal, targeted, and specialist).
  • Apply clinical reasoning skills and set appropriate goals in complex cases.
  • Effectively apply specialist speech and language therapy skills and knowledge with children and/or young people who have autism and other co-occurring conditions.
  • Apply the latest research evidence and evaluative thinking to practice.
  • Manage a complex caseload and prioritise and delegate effectively.
