Overview
EDF is seeking experienced Safety Case professionals to join our Safety Case Branch within the Design Authority (DA). Our current focus is on the development of the Pre-Construction Safety Report (PCSR), which is essential for the progression of our nuclear construction projects.
Role Responsibilities
We are looking for a lead verifier for the PCSR who will ensure comprehensive verification of the safety report. This role requires a seasoned safety case expert with a background in UK safety cases and familiarity with regulatory expectations.
Key Functions
As a Safety Case Engineer within the SZC Design Authority, your primary responsibility will be the verification of the PCSR. However, your expertise will also be crucial in various aspects of Licence Condition 14 compliance. You will provide technical leadership to address complex challenges that arise during the construction, commissioning, and safe operation of the Nuclear Power Plant.
You will have the opportunity to engage with multiple disciplines, including Nuclear Analysis, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations, as well as collaborate with OEM designers/suppliers and regulatory bodies.
