Available Shifts: 9.15 pm- 7.15 am (Monday to Sunday)

Vehicle Access: Required due to the geographical nature of the role.

We are seeking a compassionate individual to provide support to a young boy with complex disabilities. He possesses a delightful personality and enjoys engaging interactions, including cuddles, storytelling, and music.

If you are located in the Durham area and can provide transportation, we invite you to consider joining our dedicated team. You will be supporting this young boy who lives with his family, including his mother, father, older brother, and sister.

Due to his medical needs, comprehensive support and monitoring are essential. Your responsibilities will encompass tracheostomy care, PEG feeding for nutritional support, medication administration, and personal care assistance. As he has no independent movement, you will be required to assist with his positioning. Although he is non-verbal, he can communicate his feelings through gestures, movements, and facial expressions once you become familiar with him.

This role involves two waking night shifts from 9.15 pm to 7.15 am, including weekends, with flexibility for additional shifts to cover for holidays and absences.

Job Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Essential Skills:

Previous experience in childcare, particularly in ventilation care, tracheostomy care, and PEG feeding is required.
