Position Overview: The Audio Visual Rack Builder / AV Test Engineer will play a crucial role within the Technical team, reporting directly to the Rack Build Manager. This position is essential for delivering top-notch, meticulously engineered audio visual and video conferencing solutions for various client projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Constructing and wiring AV racks, including rack shelf kits and architectural connectivity, with potential on-site installation during the commissioning phase.
  • Managing and overseeing the in-house rack build facility, ensuring continuous improvement of related standards and procedures.
  • Collaborating with the Technical Consultant for off-site pre-staging activities.
  • Coordinating with external rack build companies to ensure compliance with internal standards.
  • Participating in hand-over meetings for upcoming projects.
  • Attending weekly resource meetings to discuss upcoming tasks and provide updates on current projects.
  • Providing accurate 'As Built' documentation to the drawing office for updates prior to pre-staging.
  • Ensuring quality control of rack builds, maintaining the company's high standards across all projects.
  • Assisting with on-site installations as required.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, proficiency in soldering, crimping, and cable making, as well as the ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics. Previous experience as an AV rack builder or an AV installation engineer with substantial rack building experience is preferred.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the latest AV equipment is essential, including systems such as Crestron, AMX, switching devices, media players, IPTV, and IT networks.
