**The Role**
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. This role will be critical in driving financial strategy, supporting sustainable growth, and ensuring robust financial health as the company continues to expand.
The CFO will be a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. This role demands a seasoned finance professional with strategic foresight and strong operational expertise. Acting as a true business partner, the CFO will ensure finance is a front office function, collaborating with the rest of the C-Suite, managing key stakeholders, and reporting to the Board.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the CEO in developing and implementing the company's long-term growth strategy.
- Ownership of FP&A including the financial model, detailed forecasting and creation of accurate budgets
- Be a key and accountable member of the leadership team and play a role in reporting to the Board.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the company's financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls and governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Oversee risk management activities, including insurance, investments, and external audits.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors and auditors.
- Full ownership and oversight of day-to-day finance.
- Ensure appropriate cash flow forecasting for the business's operations.
- Develop an outward facing finance function where finance is a real partner to all departments and not just a 'back-office function'.
**Requirements**
- Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA status
- Deep understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels with gravitas.
- 5+ years finance leadership experience in high-growth scale-up environment.
- Proven experience in scaling finance teams to drive improved efficiencies and customer experience.
- Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities.
- Very high level of commercial acumen with a proven track record of developing and implementing long term financial strategy.
- Highly collaborative and strong business partnering skills with the ability to build relationship with colleagues across different departments.
- Deep understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to be hands-on in your approach when necessary.
**Nice to Have**
- Experience acting as a finance leader within a fast-growth SaaS environment.
- Experience working in a PE/VC backed environment.
