Job Title: Adult Clinical Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Clinical Lead to join our team at HMP Millsike, a brand new Category B men's prison located in the village of Full Sutton near York.

The prison will have an operational capacity of 1500 people who will spend their sentences learning the skills they need to find work on release as part of the government's drive to cut reoffending. Our team will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to this population.

About the Role

As an Adult Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day clinical and operational management of the primary care team across an integrated healthcare service. You will contribute to the strategic direction of the service and ensure that the management of the service meets its contractual obligations.

You will work closely with the Head of Healthcare to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote high-quality patient care and improve health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the primary care team
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the service
  • Ensure that the management of the service meets its contractual obligations
Requirements
  • Registered adult nurse with valid NMC registration
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Prison experience would be preferable but not essential

We offer a competitive salary of £47,250 to £53,077 per annum depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including bespoke induction, competency framework, regional and national career development opportunities, and support from the wider team.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
