An exceptional opportunity has arisen at a prominent SME Consultancy seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist specializing in Quarrying and Mining. This position is located in Telford.

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineering Geologist or Geotechnical Engineer within the Shropshire office, you will provide extensive geological and geotechnical support, including:
  • Quarry planning and design
  • Mineral reserves and resource evaluations

You will contribute geotechnical insights to various projects and offer technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians. There will also be opportunities for increased responsibilities within the Geotechnical team, aimed at advancing your career as a Geotechnical expert.

Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 years of demonstrable relevant industry experience
  • Chartered status with a recognized professional body
  • BEng or MEng degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related earth science
  • Proficient in digital terrain modeling software, preferably LSS
  • Strong understanding of UK quarrying legislation and regulations
  • Able to create robust, cost-effective designs and assessments using contemporary practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Proven report writing and presentation capabilities
  • Willingness to travel for work, including extended stays away from home
  • Possession of a full UK driving license
