Job Opportunity: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at LTF Recruitment Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting, supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in KS3 and KS4.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, promoting academic and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the SENCo, class teachers, and other support staff to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, contributing to the personal and academic growth of students with SEN.
  • Develop strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in educational psychology, teaching, or therapy.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a Psychology degree (or related field) and be passionate about working with students with SEN in a secondary school environment.
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in educational psychology, teaching, or therapy is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to engage with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting students' needs is essential.
