About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Navigator to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our Colorectal Department, you will play a pivotal role in improving patient experience for those on the cancer pathway.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support patients on the 2 week wait suspected cancer pathway, ensuring timely and effective care.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues to reduce waiting times and improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clinicians, managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform service improvements and contribute to the delivery of performance targets.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a busy NHS environment, with a good understanding of clinical services within a hospital setting.
  • Awareness of cancer targets and sound understanding of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Databases.
  • Proven ability to manage clinic throughput and think creatively to deliver required capacity.
  • Understanding of patient priorities and performance targets.
