Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our Finance Team on a fixed-term contract. This role will report directly to the Head of FP&A.
The Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist will be instrumental in facilitating informed decision-making, financial strategy, and performance evaluation across the organization. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes, particularly focusing on revenue inputs, analyzing financial results, providing strategic insights, and collaborating across departments to ensure alignment with business objectives.
This position is based in our offices, with a flexible hybrid working model to support a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating closely with department leaders to gather necessary inputs and assumptions.
- Take ownership of all revenue inputs, developing a comprehensive understanding of the metrics used to create forecasts and budgets across all entities.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to deliver meaningful insights to senior management, emphasizing trends, risks, and opportunities that affect the organization's revenue and gross margin.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including variance analyses against budgets, forecasts, and previous periods, to aid senior leaders in making informed decisions.
- Work with business partners to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with strategic goals and regularly track and report on these metrics.
- Monitor the financial health of revenue streams by identifying potential concerns and recommending corrective actions to meet financial targets.
- Provide decision support through financial modeling and scenario analysis for various strategic initiatives, acquisitions, investments, and other business opportunities.
- Support investor relations by responding to ad hoc requests and managing shareholder expectations.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with departments such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, and HR to facilitate seamless information exchange and collaboration.
- Coordinate with Treasury to inform cash flow forecasts.
- Continuously enhance financial processes, reporting systems, and analytical tools to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial planning and analysis activities.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and distill it into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and budgeting processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Skilled in organizing tasks and establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Strong technical expertise in Excel is essential.
